Hermann Hesse letter to D. Kilham Roberts, 1950 January 9.

In a typed letter dated 9 January 1950, written in Montagnola, Switzerland, Herman Hesse contacts D. Kilham Roberts of The Society of Authors in London regarding his contract with the firm Aldor for publishing an English translation of his book, Das Glasperlenspiel (Magister Ludi, or The glass bead game). He mentions Sir Osbert Sitwell as recommending Roberts, Prince Lowenstein as a literary agent, and gives the London address for the book's translator, Merwyn Savill.
